I had the absolute best birthday weekend ever, and possibly the best time of my life this past weekend. Sunday Greg had arranged a surprise horseback riding trip around Castle in the Clouds. We had done this last year and he knew how badly I wanted to do it again. It was a blast and it's definitely a thrill for me, with beautiful scenery all along the way. I rode the horse "Trigger" and he was so sweet and well behaved. Afterwards, we went into downtown Wolfeboro to Lone Wolf Brewery, a nano brewery who brews all their beer on site. I had a giant pretzel for lunch and a glass of their delicious coffee milk stout.
After that we grabbed the dogs and headed back to Castle in the Clouds, this time feeding the giant rainbow trout and then doing a hike around the entire waterfall trail. I had been wanting to get back to the waterfall for years, but hadn't been able to find it the last few times I had been there. I was so excited when the trail we chose followed the stream, with lots of waterfalls along the way and at the end was the giant waterfall I'd been waiting years to see again!
That night we had dinner at my favorite local hangout (Buckey's Tavern).
The next day was my birthday and we headed out to do something from my bucket list... Ziplining! I had always wanted to try this, despite being so afraid of heights (I guess that was a big part of the appeal for me, actually!). What a thrill! I'll never forget how it felt being on the ledge and having to just jump off and trust that the zipline was gonna hold me up all the way! The course was long and there was a bunch of different zip lines and obstacles throughout it. It was definitely one of the coolest experiences of my life and I still can't really believe I actually did it.

From there we went to the go-cart arena across the street that I have loved since I was young. Those things really move and I always have the biggest smile on my face the whole time. (Oh and I beat Greg). We finished the day off with lunch on the lake and a stop for my favorite cotton candy soft serve ice cream.
It was so fun and adventurous and I truly lived out the saying "do one thing every day that scares you" and had SO MUCH fun because of it!
That night when I got home, my sister asked me to stop by to get my gifts. I headed over with Greg and was surprised to see my dad's puppy come running out (instant day-maker) and then when I went into the living room my sister's bedroom door opened and a bunch of people jumped out and yelled surprise! Seriously the cutest thing and I love my sister so much. They gave me gifts and food and cake and we all talked and hung out and laughed for a while. I couldn't believe I got such an amazing ending to an already amazing day. I feel so lucky to have the best sister and boyfriend and dogs and people in my life who make all of these amazing things happen for me.
